Always the one to rub out the apostrophe on the shopkeeper’s blackboard or pull up the energy company on their badly worded email (not to mention their prices), I also offer an editing and proofreading service.

Having trained at The London College of Printing, and with more than 25 years’ editing and proofreading experience at a national level, I can spot an errant comma or wayward sentence at 50 paces.

In terms of publishing, I have proofread commercial fiction, literary fiction, historical fiction, uplit, children’s literature and humour books, as well as memoir, poetry, plays, and non-fiction across a variety of subjects.

For businesses and creatives, I proofread and edit websites, proposals, speeches and promotional literature.

I’m also student-friendly and am happy to polish up that CV or thesis to help show you in your best light.

Rates differ according to each individual’s needs, as well as word length, turnaround, and whether you require a proofread, copy edit or on-page sub-edit. All prices are commensurate with National Union of Journalists and Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading rates.

I proofread and copy edit in Microsoft Word and sub-edit on-page in Adobe InDesign.
